Data shows that job seekers’ resumes are not effectively communicating enough and/or the appropriate soft skills to be successful in today’s job market. However, I would recommend that you use these skills in some context, such as a Professional Summary section, rather than just an itemized listing of them. Applicant Tracking Systems now use conceptual evaluation of the soft skills. Additionally, the summation of all your soft skills can begin to create a certain likability factor. For example, people tend to like leaders who have excellent communication skills and present themselves in a professional manner.
