During my time on various interview committees, once all the candidates had completed their interviews, we did not ask ourselves which candidate do you think had the most experience? We would look around the room and ask which candidates did you like? Of course experience or the correct skill-set is important, but decision-makers tend to hire people that they like and are a good fit for their team.
