Storytelling is an important skill to utilize during a job interview. Matthew McConaughey’s short You Tube video on storytelling is an excellent example. He does not rush to explain what is happening. He lets you experience the moment with him. By the time he shares the final detail you are already engaged. When you slow down and bring the audience into a specific moment they stop just listening and start experiencing the story.
People that are interviewing you will forget statistics, but most remember a good story especially when addressing a behavioral-based interview question.
