❌ How fast can I get promoted?

1) This says: I'm more interested in my growth.

2) And I haven't considered the company timeline.

✅ What does career development look like in this company?

❌ I need at least [X] salary.

1) This says: I'm focused on money.

2) And I'm not interested in aligning our needs.

✅ I'm looking for fair compensation aligned with my experience. Let's discuss the compensation range once we determine the mutual fit.

❌ I’m just looking to leave my current company.

1) Shows you don't have a good reason to join.

2) And you're settling for this as a second choice.

✅ I'm passionate about this opportunity because...

❌ I'm open to any role you have.

1) Says: I'm desperate for a job.

2) And I don't value my skillset

✅ I know that based on my expertise in [X], I can make the most strategic impact in this role.

❌ I don't have any questions.

1) Suggests you're only interested in the paycheck.

2) And you haven't done your homework.

✅ What’s the team culture and collaborative style?

Every answer impacts their perception of your value.

Prepare intentionally. Deliver confidently.
