Whether or not to accept a job offer can be the most difficult part of the job search process

Whether or not to accept a job offer can be the most difficult part of the job search process. Make sure you are accepting the position for the right reasons, and not based only on emotion. Job seekers should develop a list of both day-to-day responsibilities they would enjoy doing in a new position, and items external to the job itself, such as benefits, location etc. that are important to them before they begin applying for new jobs. How does the new position match up with that pre-determined list? That list will also help you identify good questions to ask the company during the interview. Ask them questions that will get you the answers to items you placed on that list.

As the economy reopens, this is a good time to review your career goals, update your resume, and refine your interviewing skills. If you need additional assistance, please contact Job Transitions for a free resume review and initial consultation. www.jobtransitions.net/contact
